With the upgrading of industrial product aesthetics, single flat and high-gloss powder coatings can no longer meet the diversified decorative needs of the market. Texture powder coatings, with their unique three-dimensional grain, delicate hand feel, and strong anti-scratch performance, have become the preferred decorative materials for high-end products. Different from solid-color smooth powder, texture powder forms regular or irregular three-dimensional textures on the coating surface after curing, which not only improves the visual layering of the product but also effectively covers minor surface defects of workpieces such as scratches and uneven substrates, reducing workpiece pretreatment difficulty and production rejection rate.

Common texture powder products in the market mainly include four categories: sand grain powder, wrinkle powder, hammer finish powder, and matte texture powder. Each type of texture has a unique formation principle and formula system. Sand grain powder forms uniform fine particle texture by adding inorganic coarse-grain fillers and flow control agents, with delicate hand feel and strong anti-slip performance, suitable for equipment shells and hardware parts. Wrinkle powder relies on texture agents to produce inconsistent curing shrinkage on the coating surface, forming regular wrinkled textures, with strong three-dimensional sense and high decoration value.

Hammer finish powder forms irregular circular hammer pattern textures through the floating and diffusion of special metal pigments and texture agents, with dynamic visual effect, widely used in mechanical equipment and decorative hardware. Matte texture powder combines matting agents and fine fillers to form a low-gloss frosted texture, which is anti-glare and scratch-resistant, suitable for indoor home appliances and office equipment. All texture powder products have stronger surface wear resistance and stain resistance than ordinary smooth powder, with higher practical value and market competitiveness.

The core difficulty of texture powder production lies in the precise control of texture effect and batch consistency. The texture effect is jointly determined by the dosage of texture agents, extrusion process parameters, and powder particle size. Excessive texture agent dosage will lead to too deep grain and rough hand feel, while insufficient dosage will result in inconspicuous texture and single effect. The extrusion temperature and shear force directly affect the activity of texture agents: excessive temperature will inactivate texture components, and insufficient shear force will cause uneven dispersion of texture agents, resulting in chaotic texture and inconsistent grain depth.
